Baghdad Pulse Initiative Enters Third Phase to Restore Al-Rasheed Street

The Office of the Prime Minister, in partnership with the Iraqi Private Banks League (IPBL), Baghdad Municipality, and the Ministry of Culture, has launched the third phase of the "Baghdad Pulse" initiative, focused on rehabilitating Al-Rasheed Street, one of Iraq's most historic and culturally significant streets.

This phase centers on restoring the street’s architectural heritage, upgrading infrastructure, and revitalizing its economic and cultural role. The project aligns with Baghdad’s designation as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025, aiming to enhance heritage tourism, attract investment, and improve the city’s urban landscape.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the initiative is part of the government’s broader strategy to strengthen public-private partnerships in urban development. Iraqi private banks have been instrumental in financing restoration and reconstruction efforts.

Authorities are encouraging civil society organizations and key stakeholders to support the initiative’s success. The government has reaffirmed its commitment to allocating necessary resources, recognizing the project’s importance in driving economic growth, boosting tourism, and preserving Iraq’s rich cultural heritage.
